The Council

Three seats. Publicly marked.

Our statistical model publishes a read on every NRL game. Before kickoff, this panel adds risk framing — AGREE, CAUTION, DOWNGRADE or VETO. Then the footy happens and their verdicts get marked in public. Commentary, not a higher win rate.

The Oracle

Probability & patterns

Reads the numbers first and the noise never.

“The percentages remember what the headlines forget.”

Season record

Record pending — has already foreseen it, obviously.

The Tactician

Matchups & form

Lives in the matchup — the ruck and the shifts, not spreadsheets.

“Show me the middle third and I will show you the game.”

Season record

Record pending — still watching the warm-ups for clues.

The Sceptic

Risk & red flags

Paid to disagree. Happiest when the sure thing wobbles.

“Every certainty is one hamstring away from a coin flip.”

Season record

Record pending — already has doubts about it.

The public scoreboard

The rules: an AGREE ages well when the pick won; a DOWNGRADE or VETO ages well when it lost. A CAUTION is a hedge — it leaves the model read unchanged, so it isn't graded. Verdicts age like milk or like wine — this is where we find out which. Model estimates marked against real scores; never a profit measure.

PRO members see each verdict as picks publish. COUNCIL members get the full three-way argument — disagreements and all.
